Match Action:

Ian Harte scores his second goal from the spot

Programme:

Mark Viduka celebrated the granting of a work permit and his United debut with a hat-trick in the 7-1 demolition of Lysekils FF. It was Ian Harte that opened the scoring after twelve minutes when he converted from the penalty spot. He repeated the feat seven minutes later. Mark Viduka made it 3-0 five minutes later with his first goal, before Michael Briges claimed a fourth a minute before Half-Time, but there was doubt whether it was an own goal. Viduka made it five in the fifty-fourth minute and also got the sixth and completed his hat-trick in the eighty-first minute before Alan Smith made it seven three minutes later. The home side managed a consolation goal in the final minute.
